Ulloa Elementary School takes the field
Brief Description: South Sunset is a neighborhood facility in the Sunset District.
Before Renovation: The park featured two softball/youth baseball diamonds/full-size soccer field, two basketball courts, a tennis court, a volleyball court, a playground, and a small recreation center. Since being renovated in 2005, the large playground has become one of the most popular children’s facilities in this neighborhood. The recreation center is currently used by Self Help for the Elderly with plans underway for additional youth programming.

After Renovation: The completed renovation replaces the grass baseball diamond fields with an artificial turf field configured to fit two artificial turf diamonds or three U10 soccer fields. Lights have been added to the field to provide for evening play. Fencing, benches, trash cans and signage have also been placed at the facility. This renovation will add an estimated 6,846 hours of soccer play or 3,266 hours of softball/youth baseball play each year.
