Brief Description: Kimbell Playground is a neighborhood athletic facility in the Western Additional frequently used for softball/youth baseball games and football practice.
Before Renovation: The park features two and a half softball/youth baseball diamonds, a playground, an open grassy area and locker rooms.
After Renovation: The proposed renovation includes a turf field for softball/youth baseball fields or one full-size and one U10 soccer fields or one practice football field. The existing lights will be replaced and a moveable backstop and batting cages will be added to the park. New fencing, benches, trash cans and signage will also be placed at the facility. With these improvements, residents will enjoy an estimated additional 4,193 hours of soccer play or 1,531 hours of softball/youth baseball play each year.
